Planning on hosting a party soon? Why not hire a table top mini spit braai machine and cook a lamb spit for your guests. Just over 2 & 1/2 hours of cooking time, and you’ll have a delicious lamb spit meal to serve your guests – that you cooked yourself!
Spit Braai Delivery rents out these mini spit braai machines for DIY use (with gas) so can be used indoors or outdoors. We rent the machines out to our clients in order to host a DIY party for friends and family.
Naturally, our primary service is to deliver delicious spit braai meals, or send a professional chef to your party to do the cooking for you, but if you’re adamant on treating your guests to a tasty spit braai which you’ve prepared yourself, then touch base today.
Pricing for the Mini-Spit hire
R500 Deposit to secure your booking.
R500 – Machine. (if we supply the lamb)
R600 – Machine (if no lamb supplied)
R100 – Accessories. (Carving knife & board, basting sauces, bain-marie, cleaning cloths and detergents … or use your own and save the R100)
R100 – Cleaning of Machine. (or clean it yourself and save the R100)

DIY Spit Braai Hire
Our packages vary depending on where you are based, but we do cater for the greater Cape Town area, including the Northern Suburbs & Southern Suburbs. In a nutshell, prices depend on the following:
- Demand (seasonal)
- Whether or not you need the machine delivered to your venue, or you’re going to collect it yourself (in which case you’ll need a trailer)
- Will you need gas?
- We will require a refundable deposit, which you’ll get back if you return the machine in exactly the same condition you received it (cleaned as well)
- Will you return the machine to us, or will we need to collect?
Delivery / Collection
Fees quoted according to the area (or collect it from us … it fits on the back seat of any car). Machine to be collected or returned the following day. Deposit will be refunded within 48 hrs from the time the machine is returned via EFT.
Sides & Salads can be supplied at an additional cost. Lamb supplied would be de-boned, packed into the machine and charged at R145.00 / kg.
